Business German

Target group

The course is aimed at anyone who wants to participate in or independently conduct meetings, presentations and negotiations in German, so that you can present yourself with the same professional profile and impact as in their mother-tongue. Due to the nature of the course, only participants with intermediate to upper intermediate German may enroll. In order to determine correct placement, all participants will be tested before the course starts at no extra cost.

Course objectives

  • Provide participants with the necessary language tools to conduct a meeting, presentation, or negotiation more effectively.
  • Give participants the opportunity to try their hand at German in realistic role-plays about meetings, presentations and negotiations.

Content

We begin by giving all participants an advanced-level oral brush-up so everyone is warmed up and ready to participate in the subsequent role-plays on planning and conducting meetings, presentations, and negotiations. We train participants to sit on both sides of the table and focus on presentation and argumentation techniques in German We train participants in active listening in German with a focus on the finer nuances of the language. Proper linguistic etiquette for meetings, presentations, and negotiations is reviewed. Numerous practical and realistic meetings, presentations, and negotiations are conducted throughout the course.

Duration

The course is 30 or 40 lessons with 2-3 lessons per week. Times for closed company classes or one-on-one lessons are available by appointment.
