Course target group

Primarily aimed at employees in the financial sector who need to communicate in English about general banking matters in practical situations.

Content

  • We work with Company Law, Accounting Principles, and Financial Statements.
  • We work with Auditing, Audit Reports, and Financial Ratios.
  • We work with Retail Banking and Commercial Banking.
  • We work with investment: Stocks and Shares, financial instruments, futures, and options.
  • We work with Mergers and Acquisitions, Takeovers, and Leveraged Buyouts.
  • We work with International Trade and Financing of Foreign Trade.
  • We work with Taxation: Corporate Tax, VAT, Capital Gains Tax, and Tax Compliance.
  • We use realistic role-plays and dialogues from the workplace.
  • We teach you to participate in meetings, presentations, and negotiations in English.

Course objectives

  • You can speak professional Financial English with international contacts.
  • You can operate professionally in Financial English abroad and in international contexts.
  • You can handle a meeting, presentation, or negotiation where Financial English is required.

Course location

We offer both online and in-person teaching at Virksomhedsskolen, Vesterbrogade 37, 1620 Copenhagen. When registering, please specify whether you prefer online or in-person teaching.

Course fee including teaching materials: DKK 4,500 excluding VAT.

Schedule

The course consists of 20 lessons, conducted as 2 lessons of 45 minutes each per session, over 10 weeks. The teaching takes place from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM or from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
